About the race
The Sydney Trail Half Marathon Summer Edition is a single-lap trail race held at Lake Parramatta Reserve in Sydney on Saturday 5 December 2026 and Sunday 6 December 2026. The race covers a distance of 21 KM with total elevation gain and loss of +386 m / -386 m.
The course mixes technical single-track sections, fire trails, waterfront trails and scenic features including a waterfall, lakeside views and eucalypt canopies. The route is clearly marked and includes road crossings with marshals to assist runners. There is a strict four hour cutoff for the half marathon.
Aid support is provided on course and at the finish. A single aid station serves the route at approximately the 9.5 km and 14.5 km marks and there is an additional aid point after the finish. Näak Ultra Energy Drink Mix will be available on course plus water, fruit and lollies at aid stations.
Event inclusions listed by the organiser include a premium running singlet, free race photos and a finisher medal. Post-race provisions include a commemorative bucket hat, a post-race BBQ and a cafe near the finish.
The event is cupless; each athlete must carry their own drinking cup, bottle or hydration system with at least 500 ml capacity. Mandatory safety gear required at all times includes a fully charged mobile phone with live SIM and a compression bandage. Race capacity is limited to 500 runners per day.
