Swimrun Australia: Sydney North
Swimrun Australia: Sydney North is a point-to-point swimrun through Sydney’s North Harbour, running from Clontarf Reserve toward Queenscliff and Manly Beach. The course routes participants along coastal national parks, beaches and harbour coves and passes landmarks such as Dobroyd Head, Forty Baskets Beach, Manly Wharf, Little Manly, North Head and Shelly Beach.
Three course formats are offered, each combining multiple swim and run sections:
- Ultra - 26.5 km total, 4 km swim, 22.5 km run, team only, 17+ years
- Enduro - 17.7 km total, 2.65 km swim, 14.5 km run, solo or team, 15+ years
- Experience - 9.55 km total, 1.85 km swim, 7.7 km run, solo or team, 14+ years
Age for entry is determined on 31 December 2026. Swim prerequisites are stated for some distances; notably a continuous 1,000 metre open-water swim is required for Experience and Enduro, and the Enduro has additional swim and run pace expectations. Cut-off times apply to each course and safety or medical teams may remove participants from the course if required.
Logistics note: athletes must make their own way to the start at Clontarf Reserve; Swimrun Australia provides transport for athlete gear from start to finish. On-course services include free event photos, on-course nutrition, live tracking, safety support and AusTriathlon endorsement. Entries open in May.
