Sydney Trail Half Marathon - Autumn Edition

The Sydney Trail Half Marathon Autumn Edition is a single-lap trail running event held in the Bidjigal Reserve. This specific edition is a limited event scheduled for Good Friday. The course starts and finishes at Eric Mobbs Reserve in Castle Hill and takes participants through a rugged sanctuary characterized by eucalypt canopies, streams, and creeks.

The event features a single distance:

  • 21.1 km

The route includes an elevation gain and loss of 445 meters. The course follows different trails than those used in the Summer, Winter, or Night editions of the race series. Due to the nature of the terrain, there is a strict four-hour cutoff time for completion.

Participants are required to carry mandatory gear at all times, including a fully charged mobile phone, a compression bandage, and a water capacity of at least 500 ml. The event follows a cupless policy, meaning runners must bring their own reusable cups or flasks for use at the aid stations. One aid station is located at 15.4 km, with an additional water stop at 9.5 km.

Registered runners receive a premium running singlet, a finishers medal, and free race photos. Bib collection is available during the race week or on the morning of the event at the start location. Facilities at Eric Mobbs Reserve include free parking and a bag drop area. A post-race BBQ is provided for participants. The field is limited to 350 runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
