SWMA Tri Evening Series 2026
The SWMA Tri Evening Series is a recurring multi-sport event held at the Cromhall Quarry Open Swim Centre in Gloucestershire. Located near Thornbury and the M5 junction 13, the series takes place on the second Wednesday of every month from May through September. The venue features an open water swim area within a former quarry.
Participants can choose between two main formats: a Sprint Triathlon and a Duathlon. The events are chip timed, and free parking is available on-site for all participants. Wetsuits are mandatory for the event in May, while their use for subsequent dates depends on the water temperature.
The event structure includes:
- Sprint Triathlon: A 750m open water swim, an 18km bike course consisting of three 6km laps, and a 5km run.
- Duathlon: A 1km run followed by the same 18km bike and 5km run courses as the triathlon.
The run segment is designed as a two-lap out-and-back course that finishes with a loop around the lake. Registration opens at the venue prior to the start, and a mandatory race briefing is held lakeside for all athletes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
