Swiss Wine Festival Vevay River Run 5K
The event includes two 5K competitions held in Vevay: a 5K Run and a 5K Walk. Both start at the edge of the Ohio River, proceed down Market Street, circle the town of Vevay, and finish at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park. The course is run on hard-surface streets and is described as flat and fast.
The 5K Run is a timed race. Awards are given to the top finisher in each of seven age categories for both male and female divisions, plus overall male and female winners. Age brackets are: 14 and under, 15 thru 18, 19 thru 29, 30 thru 39, 40 thru 49, 50 thru 59, and 60+. A random drawing for prizes is held for all participants after the event.
The 5K Walk is organized as a competitive event with awards for the top female and top male walker; there are no age categories for the walk.
Registration opens on 2025-08-25 and closes on 2026-08-19. The registration fee is $20. The run and walk take place in conjunction with the Swiss Wine Festival, which features food booths, entertainment on three stages, arts and crafts, a grape stomp, amusement rides, a grand festival parade, fireworks, and riverboat cruises.
