Sweet Owen Day 5K Fun Run/Walk
The event takes place at Courthouse Square, 136 Bryan Street, Owenton, Kentucky as part of the Sweet Owen Day festival. It includes multiple community running events on paved roads through the heart of Owenton, organized on a closed course.

The 5K offers commemorative race T shirts for participants while supplies last. Walkers, strollers and dogs on fixed length leashes are welcomed on the course. Awards are provided for top finishers overall and for age group placings. The kids dash is a free event for children 9 and under; participating children receive a participation medal and parents may purchase a commemorative T shirt for the child for an additional fee.
Registration windows and fees are set separately for each event with the 5K and 2K carrying entry fees and the kids dash offered at no entry cost. Race day packet pickup is available at the back of the courthouse. Music, food and fellowship are listed as part of the festival atmosphere.
