Swimrun Australia: Sydney East
Sydney East is a multi-distance swimrun event held along Sydney’s eastern harbour coastline. The start area is at Rose Bay and the event hub and finish area are based at Woollahra Sailing Club. The route links harbour swims with shoreline runs across bays, sandy beaches, trails and rock platforms, and includes views of the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, South Head and Hornby Lighthouse.
The 2026 course was refined to shorten some swims, create more run-led rhythm and place swims in sheltered, netted or contained locations. Notable course changes include a reworked Rose Bay swim and exit, a new Hermit Bay entry with an optional pier jump, and a Nielsen Park swim held inside the netted area.
