About the race
Swimrun Australia: Gold Coast is a point-to-point coastal swimrun event on the Gold Coast combining ocean swims, creek crossings, beach runs and boardwalk sections. The course links well-known locations including Rainbow Bay, Currumbin, Tallebudgera and Burleigh, and finishes near Miami Beach.
The event offers three race options with these total distances:

- Experience 12.0 : 12.1km total, a mid-distance course showcasing key sections.
- Discovery 5.0 : 5.0km total, shorter solo-only option with calm creek and ocean swims.
Race entry formats include solo and team categories (male, female and mixed where offered), with age minimums set per race: Discovery 12, Experience 15, Enduro 17 (age determined as at 31 December 2026). Basic swim prerequisites are specified by race: Discovery/Experience require a 750 m continuous open-water swim; Enduro requires a 1,000 m continuous open-water swim and stated swim and run pace capabilities. Participants are grouped by age and gender categories for results and placings.
Logistics note that athletes must arrange their own transport to start locations; the organiser will move personal gear from start to finish. The event provides on-course and finish-line photos, on-course nutrition, live tracking and safety support. Entry pricing is tiered; transfers, refund tiers and cancellation policies are defined, and the organiser may alter or cancel the course for safety with fees non-refundable in some circumstances.
