Event Overview

The 13th annual Swifty Swine 5K takes place at Weldon Springs State Park in Clinton, Illinois. The run occurs on a scenic course during the weekend of Clinton's Apple and Pork Festival.

Key Details

The event uses a Bib Chipped Timing System, with race results sent on the day of the race. Participants are grouped into age categories: 10 & under, 11-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Trophies are awarded to the first and second overall male and female runners in each age category. All 5K participants receive a handmade finisher's medal.

There is also a free Piglet Prance for kids 8 and under, which begins after the main race. Post-race snacks are provided. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by September 17, 2026. Packet pickup and day-of-race registration begin on race day.

Businesses that sponsor the race can compete for a "Swifty Business" trophy by running individually or in teams of 4-6. The entry fee is $25 if registered by September 17, 2026, and $30 from September 18 onward. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
