DECU 5K Glow Run for Empowerment Opportunity Center
The DECU 5K Glow Run is an evening community running and walking event that supports the Empowerment Opportunity Center and is presented by Fleet Feet of Decatur. The event takes place in Forsyth Park and uses the nearby bike path for most of the course.

- 3.1 Miles DECU Glow Walk, walking only, families and pets welcome
Registration opens January 1, 2027 and closes June 1, 2027. The registration fee is $25. T shirts and glow items are included for participants while supplies last; registering by May 31, 2027 guarantees those items. T shirts and glow items are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
Packet pick up is available Wednesday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Decatur Earthmover Credit Union Dividend location, 2600 Dividend Dr., or Thursday 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Forsyth Park.
The course runs through Forsyth Park and stays primarily on the bike path. The route will be lit, visibly marked, and supported by volunteers to help with directions. Post race food and drink will be provided. Participants can compete for a Brightest Glow prize and gift card. First place male and female in each age category receive a medal.
