Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K

This running event takes place on July 4, 2026 in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. It is organized by Ridge Runners Racing in partnership with Big Rex Fireworks.

The event includes two races:

Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K
Little Rex’s Kids Fun Run, which is 0.76 miles.

Both races start at the Dry Ridge City Building on Broadway Street and finish inside Piddle Park. Registrants for the 5K receive a voucher for a free pack of Neon Master Missile Bottle Rockets, redeemable at a Big Rex Fireworks tent. Children registered for the fun run receive a free pack of sparklers.

Awards are given to overall and age group winners in the 5K, and overall winners in the kids run. All finishers receive a memento or medal. A prize drawing will be held for a Godfather Firework Assortment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
