Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K
Big Rex’s Bottle Rocket 5K is a 3.1 mile road race held in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. The course begins at the intersection of Taft Highway and Race Street adjacent to the Dry Ridge City Building and finishes on the outfield of Piddle Park. A post-race celebration continues inside Piddle Park with food and drink vendors and a headlining concert by a recording artist.
The marked course follows Taft Highway, turns right onto Dixie Highway (US 25) and proceeds south to a turnaround at Grant County Middle School. Runners return north on Dixie Highway, then circle through School Street and Walnut Street before turning left down the alley just past Grant County Drugs and descending the ramp to the finish on the Piddle Park outfield.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026. The published registration fee is $35. Registrations completed by the May 31 deadline are guaranteed an event shirt and are entered into a drawing for a $100 shoe certificate from Tri-State Running Company; the drawing is held at the conclusion of the 5K awards and the winner must be present to claim the prize.
