Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K
Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K is a community running event in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, held on July 4, 2026. The program includes two races that start at the Dry Ridge City Building and finish inside Piddle Park.

Ridge Runners Racing organizes the event in partnership with Big Rex Fireworks and in cooperation with the City of Dry Ridge. Little Rex's Kids Fun Run is open to children age 10 and under; registered kids receive a free pack of sparklers in their swag bag at packet pick-up and must be accompanied by an adult. Registrants in the 5K receive a confirmation email that serves as a voucher for a free pack of Neon Master Missile Bottle Rockets redeemable at the Big Rex Fireworks tent between June 15 and July 4. The tent is located at the Dry Ridge Marathon FasMart gas station, 11 Taft Hwy.
Awards are given in both events. Little Rex's Kids Fun Run presents overall awards and mementos for finishers. The 5K offers overall and age group awards for male and female divisions and a finishers medal with the race logo. A donated fireworks package will be awarded by drawing at the conclusion of the 5K awards ceremony. The event coincides with community celebrations at Piddle Park marking 250 years of independence.
