Big Rex’s Bottle Rocket 5K : Dry Ridge, KY
Big Rex’s Bottle Rocket 5K is a 3.1 mile road race held in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. The course begins at the intersection of Taft Highway and Race Street adjacent to the Dry Ridge City Building. Runners follow Taft Highway, turn right onto Dixie Highway (US 25) and continue south to a turnaround at Grant County Middle School. The course returns north on Dixie Highway, circles through School Street and Walmut Street, then turns left down the alley just past Grant County Drugs and descends the ramp to the finish on the outfield of Piddle Park.
The event is presented by Ridge Runners Racing in partnership with Big Rex Fireworks and is held in cooperation with the city of Dry Ridge. A post-race celebration continues inside Piddle Park with food and drink from vendors and live music.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026. The registration fee for this event is $35.00. Participants who register before June 1, 2026 are guaranteed an event shirt with their registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
