Sweet on Screening 5K (February 6, 2027)

The Sweet on Screening 5K is a community race taking place on February 6, 2027, at The Water's Edge Park in Corpus Christi, Texas. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and includes running and walking categories.

The event raises awareness for liver and cervical cancer. Attendees can learn about prevention, connect with local health care providers, and access resources for screening, Pap smears, and fibroid evaluations. The event motto is RUN. SCREEN. PREVENT.

Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, February 5, from 12pm to 6pm at a location to be determined. The deadline to guarantee an event T-shirt is January 31, 2027.

Virtual runners can participate from anywhere. Virtual participants who register by February 6, 2027 will receive an official event T-shirt and a finisher medal; shirts and medals will be mailed the week of February 1, 2027. Virtual results should be submitted by February 6, 2027. Age group awards and overall placements are reserved for in-person participants; virtual runners receive a finisher medal and T-shirt. The organizer can provide instructions for completing and submitting virtual runs.
