Sweat Hot Oklahoma Summer Trials (July 25, 2026)
Sweat Hot Oklahoma Summer Trials is a multi-distance running event in Nowata, Oklahoma, held on July 25, 2026. This is the 5th and final edition. The event offers the following distances and formats:
- 12 hours event on a loop course
- 6 hours event on a loop course
- 5K single loop finishing on the track
The 6 and 12 hour races use a 3.3 mile loop with approximately 60 feet of elevation gain. The loop is roughly 60/40 percent asphalt and gravel, with some shaded sections on the gravel county road. The course is not closed to traffic; signage will alert vehicles and runners must remain aware of their surroundings.
5K runners start separately for safety, complete a single course loop, and finish on the track. For the timed events participants run as many complete loops as they can within the allotted time. Only complete loops count toward placement; the most loops determines the winner and ties are decided by the fastest last loop.
Aid and on-course support include one fully stocked aid station at the start and finish plus one water, sports drink, and ice station on course, providing cold water approximately every 1.6 miles. Food items offered during the day include fresh BBQ, quesadillas, watermelon, and SHOST dogs. Awards are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in all events. All finishers receive a finisher medal on a lanyard and a t-shirt. Registration closes July 18 at 11:59 PM CT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
