3rd Annual Sweat For A Vet 5K Fun Run
The Sons of the American Legion Squadron 178 will hold the 3rd Annual Sweat For A Vet 5K Fun Run at the American Legion Post 178 in Murrells Inlet, SC on June 6, 2026. The event offers an in person 5K and a virtual option. Runners, walkers, and strollers are welcome.
The course begins and ends at the American Legion Post 178 and is described as a flat route with very few turns. There is one water stop on course at the turnaround and post race snacks and water will be available for participants. Parking is at American Legion Post 178 and restrooms are located inside the building.
Dogs are allowed on the course but must be on a leash; owners are fully responsible for their pets and must pick up any waste. Monitors will be positioned along the course. Aggressive behavior by a pet may result in removal from the property or course without refund.
Registered participants receive a custom participant shirt, race bib, and a participant gift. Virtual race swag will be mailed within two weeks after the event. Registration is available online only and the stated registration fee is $40. Awards are by gun time with overall and masters first places and first place awards in age groups 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 up for male and female.
