Event and format
The Hateful 8 Ultra (the winter Edition) is scheduled for 3 October 2026 at Bridgend and District Model Engineering Society, Fountain Road, Aberkenfig, Tondu, Bridgend, CF32 9BZ. The event is organised by Mad Running Junkies. The format uses a 9-mile route that participants may attempt to complete as many times as possible within an 8 hour time limit. The course is mixed terrain and includes a steep hill, a road section with scenic views, and a downhill forestry trail that can be technical on some days. The route has notable elevation.
Practical information
Entry is open from 5 October 2025 and closes on 2 October 2026. Age limits are 18 to 75 inclusive on the event date. Standard entry fees listed are £37.50 (rising to £47.50 from 06/04/2026) and an entry plus t-shirt option at £52.50 (rising to £72.00 from 06/04/2026). Group bookings offer one free place when five places are booked. Volunteers at one event may be offered a free race entry at another event. Included on the day are car parking, toilet facilities, drinks and snacks, a medal or trophy, a swag bag, medical cover, and event volunteers. Registration is via the SiEntries system.
