Swan River Half Marathon

The Swan River Half Marathon is organised by Soul Runners and takes place on a route that runs around the Swan River. The event offers three race distances and welcomes walkers to participate at the back of the pack. Runners are asked to self seed to ensure a safe and fair start.

Ticketed entries include an electronic timing chip, a finishers medal and a shirt for the first 500 registrations in each race. Published prices for a recent edition were $60 for the half marathon, $50 for the 10 km ($35 for participants 12 and under) and $40 for the 5 km ($25 for participants 12 and under).

Course materials including a map and GPX files are provided for each distance. There are three water stations located around the course. First aid is positioned at the start/finish area and at Matagraup Bridge near Optus Stadium; marshals at water stations carry basic first aid supplies and can summon additional assistance if required.

There is a three hour time limit for all events. For the half marathon there are intermediate cut-offs: participants should be back at Boorloo Bridge within approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes, or use the far-side Matagraup Bridge turnaround with a 2 hour and 10 minute cut-off.
