Surviving the Color
Surviving the Color is a 5k run and walk held in Terre Haute, Indiana. The event supports the organization Team of Mercy, which provides assistance to individuals impacted by attempted or completed suicide. The race is dedicated to the memory of those lost to suicide within the local community. Participants are encouraged to wear white clothing, as the course features eight different color stations where runners and walkers are covered in colored powder.
The route begins at the intersection of Brown and Ohio Boulevard. Participants travel down Ohio Boulevard to Deming Park, where they complete two laps before finishing at the Deming Park Pavilion. Memorial banners honoring lost loved ones are displayed along the race route.

Registered participants receive a custom bib number and a t-shirt, provided they register by the specified cutoff dates. Children aged 8 and under can participate for free. The event concludes with a post-race gathering at the pavilion featuring food, refreshments, and a live DJ concert.
Parking is available at several nearby locations, including Baesler's Market, Corporate Square, and the Meadows Shopping Center. The starting line is approximately 200 meters from the primary parking area, while the finish line in Deming Park is just under one mile from the parking lots.
