Survive the Night Relays at Kroger Field
Survive the Night Relays take place overnight on July 18 to 19, 2026 at Kroger Field in Lexington, KY. The event is focused on running relays and ultras; the triathlon relay will not be held this year. Proceeds support cancer patient support care and fundraising activities.
A range of running formats is offered, including team relays and solo races. The course is a paved road loop used for marathon and double marathon relays, and an ultra loop that includes a mixed on- and off-road section for the 12 hour events. The ultra solo race is chip timed and results are based on total distance completed in 12 hours. Support, food, and music are provided during the event. The race will be cupless; participants should bring their own cup or water container.
Distances and formats include:
- 26.2 miles - marathon relay and solo marathon on a paved course
- 52.4 miles - double marathon relay for relay teams up to ten runners
- 100 miles - 12 hour ultra, solo or relay, mixed on- and off-road loop
Additional details from registration and policy: team captains pay the entire team registration fee when creating a team; team members then join without additional payment and select shirt sizes. Early registration discounts apply through June 1, 2026. Register by June 20, 2026 to have team shirts in chosen sizes. Members of the Bluegrass Runners club receive a $5 or $10 registration discount. All proceeds are donated to charity and registrations are nonrefundable.
