Surfin' Santa's Christmas In July 5K & Holiday Stroll - Stratford, CT - July 26, 2026
This is a fundraising running and walking event in the seaside Lordship neighborhood of Stratford, Connecticut, benefiting St Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound. The event has a strict 250-person limit and registration opens May 1.
Distances:
- 3.11 miles (5K) chip-timed; official course distance and online results.
- 1 mile Holiday Stroll, untimed, walkers only.
- Kids fun run approximately 200 yards, free for young children.
The course follows quiet roads with water views and is reported to be largely flat (95.6%). Roads remain open; participants are instructed to run or walk on the left, facing traffic, and to avoid using ear pods so they can hear warnings. There may not be water tables on the course; participants should plan accordingly. Paid registrants receive a Surfin' Santa T-shirt (size guarantee ends July 12) and other swag; bib and swag pickup is offered the day before and the morning of the event across the street from the Little Pub. Free parking is available until lots fill; valet is not available.
Only participants in the timed 5K are eligible for awards and prizes, including age-group awards and a grand prize getaway. A Holiday Market and post-event reception include snacks, nonalcoholic options, and an adult beverage for those 21 and over. The event will follow state and local health guidelines.
