Event overview
The Surf & Sun 5K Run - Tucson is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Curtis Park in Tucson, AZ (2110 W Curtis Rd, 85705). The event includes these distances and options:

- 5K - No Shirt
- Virtual 5K
Regular registration for the 5K is $35; a no-shirt option saves $5. Late and race-day fees for the 5K increase (late registration ends February 14). Virtual entries must be registered by February 7, 2026. Participants registered by February 5 are guaranteed race shirts in their size; later registrants receive swag while supplies last.
Course, services and results
The course runs inside West Bank Park along the shore of the Rillito River and is described as flat and fast. Water stations will be provided approximately every 1.5 miles. Packet pickup is held on race morning.
RaceJoy will be available for live GPS tracking, GPS progress alerts, and audio cheers; use of RaceJoy requires carrying a phone and activating tracking. Virtual participants may submit their finish time by the end of race day and virtual packages are shipped the Monday after the event (shipping available to the continental US). All participants automatically qualify for one free entry into a 2026 Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trot.
Awards and teams
All finishers receive a custom finisher medal. Awards include top 3 overall M/F, top masters and senior masters categories, and top 3 in five-year age groups from 10 & under through 75+.
