The Hanukkah Hot Cocoa Run takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. The event site is 3800 E River Road at the Tucson JCC. The race program includes the following distances:
- 5k Run & Walk
- 1 mile
- 1k Fun Run
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5k, $25 for the 1 mile, and free for the 1k. Prices increase after November 30, 2025. The 1k registration closes on November 30, 2025 and re-opens on December 7, 2025. Shirts are included with 5k and 1 mile registration; 1k participants may purchase a shirt for $15. Registrations made before November 15 are guaranteed a chosen shirt size. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled at the Tucson JCC on Friday, December 5.
Course, awards and services
The event is the 9th annual edition and features a timed 5k and 1 mile, plus a free untimed 1k. The course is an out-and-back route on the Rillito River Path, starting and ending at the Tucson JCC sculpture garden. Top finishers in each 5k age division receive a race mug for the top three men and women; top three overall men and women receive a race tumbler. The 1 mile awards top men and women with a race mug. Random participant raffle prizes are listed, including a $25 Choice Greens gift card, a Southern Arizona Roadrunners membership, a 3-month Tucson JCC membership, and a race tumbler. Race results are provided by Road Runner Race Timing and the event is sponsored by TMC Health. Participants are offered hot chocolate and sufganiyot after the run.
