About the race
The Surf Coast Century, also called The Feel-Good Ultra, is a trail running event held in Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. The 2027 edition is scheduled for 18 September 2027. The event offers multiple race formats on coastal and hinterland terrain that includes sea cliffs, beaches, wildflower heathland and waterfalls.
Race formats include:
- 100 km solo
- 50 km solo
- Relay teams of 2, 3 or 4
- 2.5 km kids' run
The 100 km course records about 1,800 m of climbing and passes clifftop single track, remote beaches and sections of runnable trail. There are seven checkpoints on course that provide food options including gluten free and vegan choices, and support crews can meet runners at each checkpoint. Finishers in solo and relay formats receive finisher medals; solo 100 km finishers can earn engraved steins when they meet specified finish time benchmarks. The event includes cash prizes for new course records, a recovery marquee and a finish line expo.
Preparation resources supplied around the event include free guided training runs over the course, training programs and advice from coaches.
