Surf Coast Century : Anglesea, Saturday 12 September 2026
The Surf Coast Century is a trail running event based in Anglesea on the Great Ocean Road. The race program for 2026 includes multiple formats and a separate kids’ run. The 100 km course covers varied coastal terrain and about 1,800 m of climbing. Course terrain includes clifftop single track, wildflower heathland, beaches and waterfalls.
Support and race services are provided on course and at the finish. There are seven fully stocked checkpoints offering sweet, savoury, hot, cold, gluten free and vegan options; support crews can meet runners at every checkpoint. The finish area features a recovery marquee, a finish line expo and finisher medals for all solo and relay finishers. The event also offers engraved beer steins for qualifying solo 100 km finishers and cash prizes for new course records.
Preparation resources include free guided training runs over the course, training programs and coach advice. First-time ultra runners are acknowledged on their race number plate and may appear on the Centurion Honour Board if entered by 31 August 2026. Participation numbers in recent years are cited in event materials and the event has run annually for more than a decade.
