Wonderfalls Trail Run
The Wonderfalls Trail Run is a mountain trail event that starts at Cumberland River Holiday Park on the Great Ocean Road near Lorne. It is part of the Trailsplus Mountain Series and is held on a Saturday.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 6 km
- 14 km
- 25 km
- 42 km
- 50 km
- 75 km
The longer courses visit up to six waterfalls. All distances begin with three river crossings within the first 2 km; water depth varies from ankle to knee depending on recent rainfall. For 2025 a new 75 km race was introduced and most courses were revised, with the 6 km course unchanged.
Participants may stay at Cumberland River Holiday Park in cabins or tents, with race facilities and the start area located at the park. Bibs are not mailed; collection is on the morning of the event. Course maps are provided as downloadable PDFs and GPX and CRS files.
Trailsplus uses the Humanitix ticketing system for entries. Trailsplus events donate $1 per participant to Canteen, and the organiser reports cumulative donations exceeding $80,000. In 2025 there were 279 competitors for this event and a combined $350 donation was made to Canteen. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
