Running of the Lights is scheduled for January 1, 2026, at Tanglewood Park, 7714 Idols Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012. The course runs through the Tanglewood Festival of Lights displays.

Registration and included items

Registration options include regular, economy, and virtual entries. Published fees on the event page include $40 for the 5K regular entry, $32 for the economy 5K, $28 for the 1.75 mile regular entry, $25 for the economy 1.75 mile, and $35 for the virtual option. The event notes price increases or registration deadlines on specific dates in November and December 2025. The 5K features awards. The refund and transfer policy states no refunds within 30 days of the event; earlier than 30 days a 50% refund may be requested (processing fees excluded). Entries cannot be transferred or deferred to another event or year. Entries may be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee; t-shirt size cannot be changed.
