Across the Dam Half Marathon 2026 (SuperKwik Challenge)
The SuperKwik challenge is a half marathon held by the Warren YMCA and sponsored by United Refining Company/Kwikfill. The course covers 13.1 miles from Kinzua Beach through the Allegheny National Forest into the city of Warren, ending behind War Memorial Field/YMCA.
The route follows Route 59 toward Kinzua Dam for about four miles, crosses the Allegheny Reservoir at the dam, then descends toward Hemlock Avenue. Rolling hills on Hemlock Avenue lead roughly six miles into Warren, continuing along Pennsylvania Avenue, Irvine Street, Lexington Avenue, and Carver Street to the finish. Five water stations are placed at intervals of about every 2 to 2.5 miles; the third station provides Gatorade and the final station is at mile eleven. There is a three hour cap for completing the course.
Prizes are awarded to the first male and female runner to reach Kinzua Dam (just after mile four), to the first male and female finishers, and to the top three overall finishers in each age division: Male/Female 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Registration is open through October 10, with online registration available through October 9. Day-of registration is offered at the Kinzua Beach starting area. The entry fee is $50. Long sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed to runners who register before October 1. Race packets may be picked up at the Warren YMCA the day before or at the race start area on race day.
Transportation notes: runners are asked to be dropped off at the start; limited bus transportation from the Warren YMCA to Kinzua Beach is available for those who reserve a seat by October 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
