Superheroes for Seniors 5K/1K Run/Walk Event
The Superheroes for Seniors event is scheduled for September 26, 2026, at Lilburn City Park in Lilburn, GA. It is organized to support struggling seniors through Mending The Gap Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on keeping seniors healthy, independent, and connected.

- 1K Run/Walk
- Kids run/walk (free registration for children 6 years and younger)
Registration opens May 18, 2026 and closes September 26, 2026. Published registration fees are $45.00 for the 5K, $35.00 for the 1K, and $0.00 for the kids run/walk.
The event program includes a superhero costume contest, goody bags, a free t-shirt for participants, giveaways, and a Zumba session after the race.
Awards are planned with trophies for the top overall male and female finishers, and medals for the top three finishers in multiple age groups for male and female (for example: 7-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-25, 26-30, 31-35, 36-40, 41-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-75, 80-85, 85-99).
Mending The Gap Inc. provides services including nutritious food and essentials delivery to at least 700 seniors monthly, community engagement to reduce loneliness, technology education, intergenerational connection, and assistance with minor home repairs and home cleaning services.
