Superheroes for Autism

Superheroes for Autism takes place on April 11, 2026, at McAlpine Creek Park in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is organized as a fundraiser for Autism Services of Mecklenburg County, a 501(c)(3) providing housing and services for adults with autism since 1979.

  • 10K chip timed at start and finish, registration fee $30
  • 5K chip timed at start and finish, registration fee $25
  • 2 Mile Fun Run-Walk not timed, no numbered bib, registration fee $20

The 5K and 10K are chip timed at both the starting line and the finish line. All participants who register for and complete the 5K or 10K receive a finisher medal. The fun run-walk is untimed and does not include a medal or numbered bib.

Awards are planned for 1st through 3rd overall for male and female, plus age-group awards for male and female in these groups: 10 and under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25, 26-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

Packet pickup is offered the day before the event and on race day at McAlpine Creek Park with specific pickup locations and times provided by the organizer. Proceeds from entry fees are designated to support Autism Services of Mecklenburg County. The event features a superhero theme inspired by the interests of ASMC residents.
