Event Overview
The Superhero Fun Run is an untimed 3K run/walk event. It takes place at the Sensory Garden Playground on International Drive in Lisle, Illinois. Participants are encouraged to wear superhero-themed costumes or attire.
The course uses a combination of paved streets and crushed limestone or unpaved trails through the Danada Forest Preserve. The event includes an in-person race and a virtual option where participants can complete the distance on their own time.

The event offers four registration categories:
- Adult Registration (ages 13 and up)
- Child Registration (ages 12 and under)
- Virtual Adult Registration (ages 13 and up)
- Virtual Child Registration (ages 12 and under)
Registration fees increase after March 18, 2026. Packet pick-up is available on two days: at the Central Athletic Complex in Wheaton and on event day at the Sensory Garden Playground. Parking for participants is at the Science of Spirituality Parking Lot on Naperville Road.
Post-Race & Charity
After the run, there will be music, character meet-and-greets, and other activities at the playground. All participants receive giveaway items and post-race refreshments.
The event is presented by the Wheaton Park District. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Play for All Playground & Garden Foundation, which supports the Sensory Garden Playground. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
