Event Overview
The Superhero Fun Run 3K is an untimed athletic event held at the Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle. This community event is open to participants of all ages and abilities, who are encouraged to complete the course wearing superhero-themed costumes or attire. The event is organized by the Wheaton Park District, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Play for All Playground & Garden Foundation.
The course utilizes a variety of surfaces, including paved streets and crushed limestone or unpaved trails through the Danada Forest Preserve. Because of these varying surfaces, participants using strollers or wheelchairs are advised of the terrain. The event features on-course entertainment from costumed characters who cheer on the runners and walkers.
