Event details
The Superhero Fun Run 3K takes place on April 18, 2026, at the Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle, IL (2751 International Dr.). The event is a 3K untimed run/walk presented by the Wheaton Park District. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Play for All Playground & Garden Foundation. Participants are invited to wear superhero attire. A virtual option is available so participants can complete a 3K off-site.
Course and on-site activities
The course runs partly on paved streets and partly on crushed limestone and unpaved trails through Danada Forest Preserve. The organizer notes that sections of the course are unpaved, which is relevant for those using strollers or wheelchairs. On-site activities include music, character meet-and-greets, giveaways, and post-race refreshments. The event is described as open to all ages and abilities.

Event categories include adult registration (13 years and up), child registration (12 years and under), and virtual adult and child options. Adult pricing: early bird $30 through March 18, $35 from March 19 through April 17, and $40 on race day, April 18. Child pricing: early bird $20 through March 18 and $25 from March 19 through race day. Packet pick-up is scheduled at Ray Morrill Community Center on April 16 and at Sensory Garden Playground on April 18.
