Superhero Miles: a Miami Joy Project 5K
Superhero Miles is a community 5K held on September 13, 2026 at Tropical Park in Miami. The event features a themed course with special superhero checkpoints where participants collect pieces of a costume such as capes, masks, and gloves, so that runners and walkers assemble a full superhero outfit by the finish.
Participants receive an official race shirt, a finisher medal, and a personalized bib with an RFID timing chip. The race is professionally chip timed by Victory Sports. Awards are presented to top overall finishers and to age group winners. The organizer notes that the primary medal is sold out and that new registrants will receive an alternate medal.
The event supports Miami Joy Project, Inc., a nonprofit that celebrates children with special needs and medically complex children. Miami Joy Project organizes celebrations, gifts, parties, and outreach programs at PPECs, hospitals, schools, and care facilities across South Florida.
