Event overview
The Superhero 5K and Kids' Runs benefit the ChildSafe Center - CAC and take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Winchester, Virginia. The course begins and ends at Greenwood Mill Elementary School, and runs through a residential area with rolling hills. The event includes races for adults and children and is described as an open course. The event is rain or shine; no refunds will be made.

- Superhero Kids' 5 and Under 100 Yard Dash (ages 2-5)
Advance registration is preferred; same-day registration is available by cash or check. Online and in-person fees are listed for each event, with a $3 discount for Shenandoah Valley Runners members. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by April 1, 2026.
Logistics and awards
The 100 yard dash is routed around the school building; a 50 yard dash will take place in the parking lot adjacent to the school. Awards will be given to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top male and female finishers in the Kids' Mile. All Kids' Mile and 100 Yard Dash finishers receive a ribbon of completion. Due to insurance requirements, strollers, dogs and headphones are discouraged.
