Super Sunday 5K and 2K Pup Strut
The Super Sunday 5K and 2K Pup Strut takes place on February 14, 2027, in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. This event combines the celebration of Valentine's Day with the lead-up to the Super Bowl and the beginning of the United States' 250th birthday year. The race is held regardless of rain or snow, though it may be postponed if temperatures drop to 10 degrees Fahrenheit or below.
Participants can choose from two distinct distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5K)
- 2K Pup Strut
The 3.1 Miles event is open to participants who wish to run, jog, or walk. Every finisher in this category receives a medal and post-race food. The 2K Pup Strut is a shorter distance designed for participants walking with their dogs on leashes. Dogs that complete the course receive a doggie donut at the finish line.
This event does not offer time-based awards, as the focus is on community participation rather than competition. There are no hydration stations located along the course; however, water is provided at the finish line. While pre-race music is provided by a DJ, participants are encouraged to prepare for the event as a fitness activity prior to game-day celebrations.
