Super Hero Challenge
The Super Hero Challenge is an outdoor event held at Oakes Quarry Park in Fairborn, Ohio. The course takes participants through a varied landscape featuring limestone cliffs, wooded trails, and views of the quarry. The terrain is rugged and follows a trail format for the longer distances.
Participants can select from several race distances depending on their preference:
- 1.55 mile fun run
- 5 km (3.1 miles) trail race
- 10 km (6.2 miles) trail race
- 15 km (9.3 miles) trail race
The race structure is based on a lap system. The 5 km race follows an out-and-back route of 1.55 miles, completed twice. The 10 km distance requires four laps of this same out-and-back section, while the 15 km distance consists of six laps.
All participants who complete their distance receive a finisher medal. Overall winners in the 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km categories are recognized with special awards. Registrations completed by October 20th include a short-sleeve race shirt, while those who register after this date do not receive a shirt.
