Event overview
The inaugural SUPER HERO 5K takes place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Cartersville, Georgia. Location and course
The start and finish are located at the City of Cartersville Parks & Recreation Senior Aquatic Center at Sam Smith Park, 1155 Douthit Ferry Rd., Cartersville, GA. Runners will use the rolling pathways inside Sam Smith Park and surrounding surface streets. The organizer notes there is construction in the park and that a plan is in place to address it.
Logistics and awards
Pre-race packet pickup is available Friday, January 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Talk of the Town Salon, 112 West Main Street; parking is available behind the salon. Packets will also be available on race day. Participants are encouraged to wear superhero costumes. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food and hygiene products for Allatoona Resource Center and Red Door Food Pantry. Awards include top 3 Overall Male and Female, Overall Masters Male and Female, plus medals for the top 3 in multiple age categories ranging from 10 & under through 70 and over.
