Course and logistics
Run legs use a simple out-and-back on the perimeter of the beach parking lot and flow counter-clockwise into the transition area. The bike course is two loops that head toward the park entrance, includes a single left turn at a stop sign, and uses a cut-through prior to the gatehouse. At the end of the first bike lap riders perform a U-turn around a concrete island to begin lap two; after lap two riders follow the parking lot perimeter back to transition. Packet pick-up is held on race morning at the beach parking lot. Parking is limited; overflow is at the Dixie Lake lot or grass near the campground, which may require biking to the beach area or being dropped off.
