Sunshine Camp Trail Mix & Beer Fest
The Sunshine Camp Trail Mix is an annual 5K trail race held at Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp in Rush, New York. The course runs across portions of the camp's 157 acres and uses a mix of paved sidewalks and natural dirt trails. The event supports children and young adults with disabilities who attend the fully accessible summer camp.
Registrants receive a t-shirt, entrance to the Beer Fest and one complimentary drink, and are eligible for prizes within their race division. The 5K field is limited to 300 participants to help preserve the trail. There are two event options listed: a general 5K plus Beer Fest entry and a 5K entry for participants aged 20 and under. Published prices show a higher tier at USD 35 and a lower tier at USD 20.
On-site services and features noted for the event include music from the DAWGS, beer and cider, smoothies, food trucks, a medal ceremony, family activities such as a bounce house and games, day of packet pickup, a clothing drop box to transfer items to the finish area, and a warm up loop on the front lawn.
