The event awards points toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Summer Series. A virtual race option is available. The listed charity beneficiary is Nadia’s Initiative, an organization that rebuilds communities in crisis and advocates for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence; the organization also works on redevelopment projects in Sinjar, Iraq.
Logistics and race details
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before July 28; extras are ordered for later registrations on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees are listed as: 5k : $30 (then $35), 10k : $45 (then $50). Prices increase by $5 on race morning.
The course is paved with very limited elevation gain. The 10k is an out-and-back route completed twice. Water stations: three on the 10k at approximately miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65; one on the 5k at about mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in age groups from 19 & under through 70+. Live results are posted on Athlinks and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race.
