2026 Sunset Scurry 5k & 10k
The event is an evening road run held on August 7 at Americana Park, 4301 Accotink Parkway, Annandale, VA. It offers both in-person and virtual participation options. Points earned count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series and toward the Summer Series.

The course is paved with very limited elevation gain; the 10k is an out-and-back run completed twice. Water stations are provided: three on the 10k at approximately miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65, and one on the 5k at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Port-a-johns are located at the ball park.
Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical Dri-fit event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for entrants registered before July 28; sizes for later registrants are first-come, first-served. Registration fees differ by distance and increase after July 31 and again on race morning.
The event benefits Nadia’s Initiative, an organization focused on rebuilding communities in crisis and advocating for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to top finishers in age-group categories.
