Event Overview
The Sunset House 5K Run and Fitness Walk is a charity event now in its twenty-fourth year. It features three event options: a live 5K Run, a live 5K Walk, and a 5K Virtual Race.
Event Details
The live event takes place on a Saturday in May at the Irondequoit United Church of Christ, located at 644 Titus Avenue in Irondequoit, New York. The virtual option is available for a multi-week period in May, allowing participants to complete the distance anywhere.
Registration for each event option is $30. The fee increases to $35 after a specific date in mid-May. A T-shirt is offered to the first 250 registrants for the live event.
Packet pickup for the live race is scheduled at Rochester Running Co. on a Thursday and at the church on the Friday before race day, as well as on race morning.
Charity Mission
All proceeds from the event benefit Sunset House, an organization that provides alternative living arrangements for individuals needing hospice care.
