Sunset 5000 : A Snail's Pace x Adidas
The event is a track 5K held at Saddleback High School in Santa Ana, CA on 06/13/2026. The race is run as 12 and a half laps, listed as 3.1 Miles (5K), and is organized into eight seeded heats. Heats are assigned based on each participant's expected 5K time and will be announced before race day. Once heats are set, participants cannot switch start times; if a participant misses their call time they cannot be placed in a later heat. Participants must check in with the clerk of the course no later than 45 minutes before their heat time.
The event uses a maximum cutoff time of 35 minutes for the 5K. Finishers receive a commemorative race medal and all participants receive a postrace meal ticket for the food truck partner Birreria y Tacos Doña Betty. Winners of each heat receive a special surprise, but any winning time can be reviewed and potentially revoked by the race director. If a heat winner finishes by 2 minutes or more ahead of the field, that runner is ineligible for prizes. Adidas will provide spikes and super shoes for participants to demo during the race.
