Sunrise Run in the Parks : Newnan
The Sunrise Run in the Parks series is a free, community running and walking event organized by Newnan Leisure Services and held at Dragonfly Running Company, LLC in Newnan, GA. The event offers participants the option to run or walk a timed 5k on select Saturdays throughout the summer. Events are held in person at 10 Lagrange Street, Newnan, GA 30263.
Each Sunrise in the Parks session includes an option for official timing. For safety, participants are required to follow all traffic and pedestrian laws while on course. There are no prizes for placings; every participant who completes the distance is entered in a raffle for free entries to the 2026 Sunrise on the Square 5k race in Downtown Newnan.
The series uses two identified routes on different dates: the LINC 5k route on June 13, July 11, and August 8, and the Sunrise on the Square 5k route on June 27, July 25, and August 22.
