SG Petch Sunderland City Runs
SG Petch Sunderland City Runs is a multi-distance running event based at Keel Square in Sunderland SR1 3DZ. The event attracts around 5,000 participants and offers three race distances that follow traffic free roads through the city and out along the seafront with two bridges visible on the route.

- Half Marathon, 13.1 miles
All courses are traffic free. The event provides electronic chip timing, a medal and goody bag for finishers, a secure baggage drop and prizes for the top three male and female finishers and first V40, V50 and V60 finishers. Race packs are posted to UK entrants and are available for collection from Race Information for overseas entrants on the event weekend.
There are age requirements for each distance: half marathon entrants must be 17 or older, 10k entrants must be 15 or older and 5k entrants must be 11 or older on the day. Wheelchair and visually impaired arrangements are defined by the organiser; hand cycles are not allowed and assisted wheelchair entrants must have an assistant who is also entered.
