Summit North Trail Runs
The Summit North Trail Runs occur at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minnesota. This multi-day event utilizes the trails of West Duluth, featuring a variety of terrain including rugged climbs, winding forest singletrack, and a passage through Ely's Tunnel.
Participants can choose from several distinct events:
- Forest Track Heavy Half Marathon
- The Creeks 8-Mile
- Mountain Lap 5K
- Hill Climb & Descent
- Kids Trail Run
The weekend begins with the Hill Climb & Descent on Friday night. On Saturday, the longer distance races take place. The Forest Track Heavy Half Marathon covers more than the traditional half marathon distance and includes a route through the historical Ely's Tunnel. The Creeks 8-Mile and the Mountain Lap 5K offer shorter alternatives through the same regional trail systems. All events are centered around the Grand Avenue Chalet at Spirit Mountain.
