The Summit Metro Parks Mother's Day 5K takes place on May 10, 2026 at Munroe Falls Metro Park Lake Area, 521 S River Rd, Munroe Falls, OH 44262. Participants may run, jog, or walk the chip timed 5K that travels twice around Munroe Falls Lake on an asphalt surface. The course is stroller friendly.
The course overlays the park entrance and exit road; the park entrance gate will be closed and re-opened by park police after participants clear the second lap. The event is held rain or shine. Refunds are available through May 1, 2026.
Each paid registration includes a choice of a race t shirt or a native tree sapling while supplies last, including registrations in the 14 & under category. Pre race packet pickup is available on Saturday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm, 1828 Smith Rd., Akron. Race day packet pickup begins the morning of the race.
The course is not fully ADA compliant, but wheelchair participants and jogging strollers are welcome; participants who plan to use an adaptive device are asked to contact the race in advance. Registration for ages 14 and under is $10. Registration for ages 15 and older is tiered by date: $20 through January 14, $25 from January 15 through March 14, $30 from March 15 through April 14, and $35 from April 15 through race day. Wagons, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the course. Pet spectators on leash are welcome but are not allowed on the course. Anyone on the course over age 5 or participating under their own power must be a registered participant with a race bib. Only registered participants with bibs are eligible for finisher awards.
