The Summit Metro Parks Mother's Day 5K takes place on May 10, 2026, at Munroe Falls Metro Park - Lake Area (521 S River Rd, Munroe Falls, OH). The chip-timed, stroller-friendly course runs twice around Munroe Falls Lake on an asphalt surface. Each paid registration includes a choice of a race t-shirt or a native tree sapling while supplies last. The event is held rain or shine. Proceeds benefit the Summit Metro Parks Foundation, a nonprofit that supports the park district’s conservation and public access work.
Logistics, registration and awards
Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before the race at F.A. Seiberling Nature Realm (1828 Smith Rd., Akron); race day packet pickup is available at the event. Registration fees are tiered by date for ages 15 and older, and a discounted rate applies for ages 14 and under. Refunds are available through May 1, 2026. The course is not fully ADA-compliant, but wheelchair participants and jogging strollers are welcome; participants planning to use adaptive devices should contact the race in advance. Wagons, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, and motorized vehicles are not permitted on the course. Pet spectators on leashes (8-foot max) are allowed off course. Awards include engraved names in the Munroe Falls Mother’s Day 5K brick paver walkway for top finishers by age group and overall top finishers receive an engraved top finisher brick paver to take home.
