Summer Trail Fest Ultra
The Summer Trail Fest Ultra is a trail running event held at Sleepy Hollow State Park in Laingsburg, Michigan. The course consists of approximately 90% well-groomed singletrack trails with minimal technical terrain. For the ultra-marathon distances, the 50K has a cutoff time of 21:43 per mile and the 50 Mile has a cutoff time of 15:18 per mile.
Participants can choose from various event types and distance categories:
- 50 Mile run
- 50K (31 miles) run or ruck
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) run or ruck
- 5 Mile run or ruck
- Virtual Race options for all four distances
The ruck events require participants to hike using a weighted ruck sack or weight plate carrier, with weighing conducted before the start. For those who do not require a finisher's medal, custom bib, or shirt, economy packages are available at a reduced registration fee.
The event provides well-stocked aid stations featuring water, electrolytes, gels, and food, supporting runners who participate without a personal crew. The course is marked throughout to assist with navigation. Following the race, a cookout is held featuring burgers, hot dogs, and side dishes. Finisher medals are designed to magnetically connect with medals from the Winter Trail Fest event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
