Fit Street Market Summer Sunset Run
The Fit Street Market Summer Sunset Run takes place on the sand at Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Participants navigate a course along the shoreline during low tide, which provides firmer sand and more space for runners and walkers. The event features a beach-day experience that includes a live DJ on the sand and access to an on-site market with local vendors.
There are two primary distances available for participants:
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
- 10 km (6.21 miles)
Both distances are chip-timed and follow a route with ocean views. The event is open to various participants and allows the use of strollers, dogs, and headphones. Registration includes a race bib, a custom finisher medal, and a reusable tote bag. On-course support includes water stations at every mile and an E.M.T. present for first aid.
The event schedule incorporates several wellness activities beyond the running races. A pre-race stretch session is provided to help participants warm up, and yoga classes are hosted on the beach for recovery. After the run, bagels are served to participants, and the stage area features various fitness classes. Packet pick-up is organized both on the day before the race at a local bagel shop and on the afternoon of the event at the Seawalk Pavilion.
