Red White & BOOM Freedom 5k
The Red White & BOOM Freedom 5k is an evening running and walking event held in Cookeville, Tennessee. This annual community gathering occurs in early July to coincide with national celebrations. The event starts and finishes at The Exceptional Bean, located at 55 N Walnut Ave.
Participants have two primary event options:
- 5k (General or Veteran divisions)
- Kids Fun Run
The race is organized into three specific registration divisions. The General division is open to all runners and walkers aged 13 and older. The Veteran division is designated for individuals who are currently active in, have served in, or are retired from the military. The Kids Fun Run is specifically for children aged 12 and under.
This event is presented by Better Cookeville and Better Together. Proceeds from the race go toward supporting The Exceptional Bean. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue clothing to reflect the event's theme of national pride and community spirit.
