The races take place at 390 Cummins Falls Lane, Cookeville, Tennessee. The marathon, half marathon, and 10K follow the Blackburn Fork State Scenic River for a substantial portion of their routes. All four courses use rural back roads in Jackson County, Tennessee. The marathon and half marathon include steep hills. The event is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.
Race details, awards and services
The race is chip timed. Finisher medals are awarded to all finishers; the medals are distinctive wood designs. Competitive awards are given 1st–3rd overall (male and female) and 1st–3rd in age groups 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Masters (40+) and Grand Masters (50+) awards are also listed. There is an 8 hour cutoff for the marathon and half marathon. Walkers are welcome in the 5K and 10K. Aid stations are located approximately every 2 to 3 miles. All registered runners receive a race t-shirt; a "no shirt" option is available. Packet pickup is offered on the Friday before the race at St. Michael's Episcopal Church parking lot in Cookeville and on race morning at the park. The event has a no refund policy except for cancellation due to public health concerns; deferrals to 2027 or refunds minus service fees may be offered. Team discounts apply for group registrations.
