Summer Solstice Challenge - Colchester

Registration

The Summer Solstice Challenge in Colchester is a unique running event held at the scenic Abberton Reservoir Visitors Centre. Taking place on the longest day of the year, participants run laps of just over 5 kilometers on off-road paths around the reservoir. The event lasts six hours, from 3 pm to 9 pm, allowing runners to choose their own distance, from one hour up to ultra marathon lengths.

Each lap starts and finishes at the Visitors Centre, where a free, well-stocked feed station supports runners throughout the evening. The event supports Essex Wildlife Trust and offers medals and optional event apparel for participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
