Summer Solstice 5K / 1 Mile - Worth Township
The Summer Solstice 5K / 1 Mile event is held at Moraine State Park with a new start and finish at Lakeview Beach on the North Shore. Both courses are run on the bike trail. The event is presented as a Wednesday evening race and is organized by the SR Cross Country Boosters as a fundraiser to support the Slippery Rock High School/Middle School Cross Country Teams.

- 1 Mile Kids Run (12 and under)
Registration opens March 28, 2026 and closes June 17, 2026. Registrations submitted by May 25, 2026 receive a T-shirt. T-shirts will not be mailed and must be picked up at the registration tent on race day.
Awards for first, second, and third places will be given to both male and female finishers in the 5K. Awards will not be mailed and should be collected at the award ceremony. All child runners in the 1 mile receive ribbons; ribbons will not be mailed and should be picked up at the finish line or at the registration tent.
