Race features and awards
Chip timing with live results is provided for timed events. Free race photos, finisher medals, and designer shirts are included with many registrations: 5k/10k/15k registrations include a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal; the 1 Mile is untimed and includes a bib, shirt, and finisher medal. The kid's dash is untimed, includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a kid-specific medal; children may run the dash without receiving swag for free.
Timed events (5k/10k/15k) offer awards by overall, masters (40+), and age groups down to 10 and under. Kid's Dash, 1 Mile, and Virtual events are untimed and do not qualify for age-group awards.
Logistics and additional programs
Packet pickup is available on race day beginning one and a half hours before the race start. Virtual participants receive a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping; virtual packets are mailed the Wednesday after the race and participants may upload times and photos. Course formats listed include a 5k course, a 10k double out-and-back, and a 15k triple out-and-back; courses are subject to change.
Additional offerings include free Kona Ice at the finish, finish-line treats, a Beach Party Challenge (participants pick up items at water stations and finish carrying them to earn a challenge pin), team-registration refund incentives, volunteer reward options, and a no-refund policy with transfers to virtual if the event is canceled by the venue or for ice hazards.
