Event Overview
The Summer Sizzler - Chattanooga is a multi-distance running event held at Camp Jordan in East Ridge, Tennessee. Scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2026, the event features several road race distances designed for various fitness levels. The courses are organized in partnership with local parks to minimize impact on the local community.
Distances
Participants can choose from a variety of event formats:
- 15k
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile (untimed)
- Kid's Dash (untimed, for ages 10 and under)
- Virtual Race (run at any location and time)
Participant Experience
The 5k, 10k, and 15k events are chip-timed with live results available immediately after finishing. These timed distances offer age group awards across various categories, including overall male and female, masters (40+), and three-deep awards in five-year age increments ranging from 10 and under to 80+.
All registered participants in the timed and 1 Mile events receive a custom bib, a designer shirt, and a custom finisher medal. The Kid's Dash includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a specifically crafted medal. Finishers can also access free event photos and a Kona Ice treat at the end of the course. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual option is available where packets, including the shirt and medal, are mailed to the participant.
