Summer Session 10k

Event overview

The Summer Session 10k & 5k takes place in Hendersonville, North Carolina, with the start area at Trailside Brewing at Lennox Station. The event offers both a 10k and a 5k course that begin in front of Trailside Brewing and run through Hendersonville neighborhoods. Race registration includes a commemorative race shirt, a finisher medal, and a Trailside Brewing beer for participants aged 21 and over or a nonalcoholic beverage option. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Mills River Partnership.

Awards, transfers and policies

Awards are given for overall places and age categories. Overall awards include 1st through 3rd place for male, nonbinary and female divisions and separate awards for Masters (40+) and Grand Masters (50+). Age-group awards are Trailside Brewing pint glasses for the top three male, nonbinary and female finishers in standard age brackets. Registrations may be transferred to another runner or to the virtual option up to five days before the event; after the transfer window a $10 fee applies for shipping to convert to a virtual entry or participants must pick up their packet at Trailside Brewing. The organizer maintains a no-refund policy for registrations; enhanced refund protection is offered separately through Race Roster as a third-party service.
